After Signal · Game Studio

Narrative games told in chapters. And the tool to tell them.

After Signal is a one-person independent studio, founded by Keidegger Silva. It makes stories you play in the browser, one part at a time and in pixel art, and it builds its own editor to be able to tell them.

What we make

A game and a tool

The first game

Who Left It On?

A serious, cinematic pixel-art adventure about a world where water, the most valuable resource, is running out, and the crisis it falls into because of it. The network that connected the treatment plants has gone silent. A signal leads you to Plant 7, abandoned for years, and it is up to you to find out what happened.

The tool

Tale Rocket

A no-code editor for telling stories in chapters. The map, the notes, the tasks, the scenes, the translations and publishing are all in one place. Chapter 1 of Who Left It On? was made entirely with it.

How we work

Five house rules

  • The story leads

First comes the story we want to tell. The mechanics, the puzzles and the art are there to tell it, not the other way round.

  • Pixel art with craft

Every scene is composed and polished patiently. Part of the art relies on AI tools, and we say so plainly. The design, the story and the decisions are our own.

  • Free, in the browser

No downloads, no installs. You open the page and play, on a computer or a phone, in eight languages.

  • In chapters

The story arrives in parts. The intention is to release a new chapter every month or so, and we would rather say it that way than promise a date.

  • We make our own tools

When something holds the story back, we build the missing tool. That is how Tale Rocket was born, and how it keeps growing, chapter by chapter.

Who is behind it

Keidegger Silva

Experience (UX) designer and founder

For now, After Signal is one person, Keidegger Silva. He is not a programmer. He designs the chapters, writes the story, tests every scene on a computer and on a phone, and builds the tools he needs to tell it.

He loves games, telling stories and pixel art. This studio is his way of bringing the three together.
